Andi Dorfman was Angry at Nick Viall for pursuing Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe
Nick Viall left her season of The Bachelorette heartbroken, after coming in second to final rose choice Josh Murray.
But Andi Dorfman was still furious to learn her runner-up had decided to pursue the next Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Andi, 33, opened up about her feelings on the latest episode of the Ben And Ashley I. Almost Famous podcast, where she revealed she was 'f**king pissed' to learn Nick had joined Kaitlyn's season.
While Kaitlyn and Andi's seasons were a year apart, Andi was still shocked to see Nick had developed such strong feelings for the new Bachelorette.
'I felt f**king pissed that he went on the show because I thought like, "Oh, your feelings were actually genuine for me and here is another girl that I feel like I'm very opposite of and you just are showing that same love,"' she recalled.
To Andi, it didn't matter that it was specifically Kaitlyn - she would have been upset seeing him with any other woman, including future leads Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin.
'And, by the way, it wouldn’t have mattered who it was — whether it was Kaitlyn or Rachel or Becca.'
'I just think when someone does that on two seasons, you're like, "What the... I thought you were into me. How are you so quickly into someone else?"'
But once Andi reminded herself that she was the one to dump Nick, she was able to let go of her anger.
'But then you have to remind yourself, like, "I didn't pick him," you know? And so it was kind of that battle of being annoyed but also having to understand that like, "I let him go. He has every right to do this."'
Nick was a contestant on Andi's season of The Bachelorette in 2014, before fighting for Kaitlyn's heart a year later.
Nick made a huge impression on both of the women.
On both seasons, he was a runner-up.
Not only that, but Nick was even the recipient of Andi's First Impression Rose - an indicator of her level of interest on night one.
'He had no idea how hot he was, and there was something so innocent and pure about him,' Andi said as she recalled their relationship.
'Everyone thought Nick was hot — like the producers. Nick just didn’t know how hot he was.'
It wasn't always perfect though.
Nick famously sparked controversy after revealing he and Andi 'made love' in the fantasy suite, and though that caused some dissonance, the former Bachelorette still holds a 'soft spot' for him.
'I have a soft spot in my heart for Nick. Always have, always will. Even though I hated him at times — obviously the [live After the Final Rose special], that debacle,' she explained.
The pair have remained friends, and were even spotted going on a run together after Andi's recent move to Los Angeles.
