Bachelor Australia : Abbie Chatfield denies sex claims
Controversial bachelorette Abbie Chatfield has hit back at “ludicrous” claims she had sex with Matt Agnew while filming this year’s Bachelor Australia.
Love or loathe her there’s no question the pair have serious sexual chemistry, making Chatfield a frontrunner in the quest for the Agnew’s heart.
But said chemistry appears to have pushed the rumour mill into overdrive, with some reports suggesting that not only have the duo had sex, but that the contestant is now pregnant with the Bachelor’s baby.
This week’s Woman’s Day magazine published a spread showing the controversial cocktail party kiss aired earlier this month that drew ire among other contestants, alongside images of Chatfield in casual attire with circles and arrows indicating an alleged baby bump.
Captions read: “Fans noticed Abbie’s tummy bump” and “so is it pregnancy tummy, or just a food baby?”.
In an interview with 10 daily. an infuriated Chatfield addressed the rumours, calling them “false and unsubstantiated”.
“The images used as evidence merely encourage body shaming and assume that because my stomach is not completely flat that I must be pregnant,” she said.
“Regardless of this, this day was only a few days after meeting Matt as it was the first group date. We had barely had a conversation.
“As I have said previously, it is impossible to have sex on The Bachelor and any statements on the contrary are nothing short of ludicrous.”
