Charlotte Crosby credits Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty for her flourishing romance

Updated: Jun 16

She's been blissfully living with her new boyfriend amid lockdown, with their relationship going from strength to strength.

And Charlotte Crosby has credited the government's Chief Medical Officer Chris Witty behind the success of her flourishing romance with Liam Beaumont.

The Geordie Shore beauty, 30, insisted that it was the coronavirus advisor, 54, who acted as an unlikely cupid and made her take 'the leap of faith' with her beau.

Charlotte had been dating videographer Liam for a mere few weeks when the UK's coronavirus lockdown was put in place, meaning that the couple had to make a big decision over their budding romance.

She told The Sun On Sunday: 'We had to either move in together or not see each other.

'It was hearing the Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty, who advised that if you want to see your boyfriend or girlfriend you have to move in — so you could say Chris made us take the leap of faith.

'Before then we’d only spent about two or three weeks together in total, so we had to make that decision right then and there, which was really scary.'

And while living together so soon could spell disaster for some, Charlotte insisted that cohabiting with her tattooed beau was the best decision she's made.

The reality star added that the pair have not had 'one single argument yet' and that their relationship has been 'amazing' so far.

However, despite things going swimmingly with Liam, 30, Charlotte admitted that their sex life is not quite as on track as the couple find it difficult to get alone time while living with her parents.

She added that due to their domestic situation, the bedroom action has been kept to a 'bare minimum' and 'nothing naughty' has occurred.
