Former Bachelor Sam Wood gives advice to Matt Agnew
He met his perfect match on the third season of The Bachelor Australia.
And on Friday, former Bachelor Sam Wood penned an open letter to Matt Agnew, who is currently following in his footsteps in the hope of finding love on reality TV.
The letter, published in the Daily Telegraph on Friday, Sam, 49, advised Matt, 32, that it was 'critical' to trust himself.
He wrote: 'There's extra pressure than there would be in the real world, so it's crucial to trust yourself and back yourself no matter what.'
Sam advised the astrophysicist to make the most of his time in the Bachelor mansion and that time was of the essence.
'The clock is ticking, and you can't leave any stone unturned because you don't want to make a mistake,' he added.
'My advice is to use this time wisely to get to know that person really well and try not to read too much — the media attention is a shock, and you can easily get sucked into that vortex.'
Sam, now a proud father-of-two, advised Matt to also 'act' on people he suspected were there to cause 'drama' or in the mansion.
He went on to say that contestants without the right intentions would stop him from finding the woman of his dreams.
But it looks like Matt has already taken Sam's bit of advice, after Monique Morley, 26, was given the boot after learning she had called him a 'dog c**t'.
On Wednesday, Brianna Ferrante, 24, was sent home after he revealed they're at 'different points' in their lives and didn't see a future together.
Sam appeared on the third season of The Bachelor back in 2015, where he met Snezana, they tied the knot in Byron Bay last year.
The couple welcomed their second child together, a daughter named Charlie last month.
Snezana is also mother to daughter Eve, 14, from a previous marriage.
