Love Island's Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt official after rocky road to romance
Lucie Donlan and Joe Garett have made things official.
The Love Island couple are officially boyfriend and girlfriend after overcoming a few bumps along the way.
They've had a rocky road to romance, but put their past behind them as they made sure everyone knows they only have eyes for each other.
The pair sealed the deal with a romantic picture on Instagram .
Posing on the beach in her native Cornwall, Lucie jumped up into Joe's arms and he held her as they went in for a kiss.
Standing in the sand, the lovebirds wrapped their arms around each other in a romantic embrace, made all the more beautiful by their picturesque background.
Sharing it online, Lucie captioned the picture with "# JUCIE" followed # juciearebackrt and a waves emoji.
Fellow Islander Anton Danyluk commented: "This has honestly made my day # jucieareback"
Michael Griffiths added: "This is what I like to see"
While Francesca Allen commented: "JUCIEEEE FOR LIFFIEEEEEE"
Joe shared a similar image that showed them smiling blissfully at each other, captioning it with the same hashtag.
Lucie coupled up with Joe on day one, after taking a shine to him when he walked into the villa.
However, that night, Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard entered the villa and were told they would be able to steal a girl each the following day.
Tommy chose Lucie, but she wasn't thrilled at first.
When the opportunity arose on day five, she chose to re-couple with Joe.
The pair coupled up one more time before Joe was dumped on day 16.
It hadn't all been rainbows and butterflies though.
Lucie had grown close to Tommy as a friend, and Joe seemed to get jealous, telling Lucie she should be spending more time with the girls in the villa and less time with Tommy.
Lucie ended up in tears as she tried to reassure Joe that there was nothing to worry about, and that she simply got on with boys better than she did with girls.
Joe was faced with criticism from viewers, who branded him controlling and manipulative.
After he was dumped, Lucie questioned whether or not she should go after him, and on day 22, coupled up with Anton as friends.
Then during the Casa Amor twist, she ended up being torn between two new boys, George and Stevie.
She chose to take George back to the main villa, but they were dumped together just six days later.
Before she was dumped, she confessed feelings to Tommy on more than one occasion.
Back in the outside world, Lucie and Joe were seen getting cosy at an ITV party, and admitted they'd shared a kiss when quizzed by Love Island host Caroline Flack on the reunion show.
Now, it seems they're happier than ever, and recently put their love on display in a couple's beach photoshoot that saw Joe channel his inner Heathcliff.
