Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague cheers on ‘champ’ Tommy Fury after boxing win
Molly-Mae Hague has celebrated her boyfriend Tommy Fury’s boxing win, calling him her ‘champ’.
The Love Island star, who was unable to be ringside to watch the boxer’s match, filmed him being declared the winner against Genadij Krajevskij after a crushing knockout. ‘MY CHAMP!!!!!’ she wrote as she cheered in the background. ‘Now get home to me.’
Following his win, Tommy, 21, was asked if there was ‘anyone special’ in his life he wanted to address.
‘Well, Mrs Molly-Mae, what can I say?’ he smiled. ‘Wish she was here tonight.’ Following his win, Tommy said: ‘At the end of the day I had to ease into it, I’ve been out a year, but when I did I started putting my shots together and I felt comfortable.
‘It’s a very hard road. I’ve had basically no amateur experience and I’m just learning as I go, experience is what I need but if I keep getting out there I’ll get better. ‘Sparring is sparring, but getting under the lights is a different thing and I just need more of it, that’s a simple answer really.’
Molly, 21, was previously hoping to be ringside to see Tommy’s big fight although, due to the coronavirus pandemic, she was forced to stay at home.
When asked where Tyson Fury’s brother was, she said: ‘So many questions about why Tommy and I aren’t together right now. That is mainly because he has gone away for his fight on Friday.
‘He’s had to create a new social bubble down in London, and I wasn’t allowed to go.’ Understandably unhappy at the situation, the influencer laughed: ‘We’re not gonna talk about it. ‘I’m not actually allowed to go to the fight. I’m watching on telly at home, it’s gonna kill me.
