Maura Higgins says she wishes to go back on Love Island
The 29-year-old Irish star has been single since her split from boyfriend Curtis Pritchard, who she coupled up with on the ITV2 dating show last year.
Since then Maura has been controversially linked to hermarried Dancing On Ice partner Alexander Demetriou but has rubbished claims anything happened between them.
Maura opened up all about her troubled love life during a candid chat with fans on her Instagram page.
"To be honest, I need a man," she bluntly admitted.
"Maybe I'll go back in [to Love Island] next year, you never know," she teased.
Addressing the speculation surrounding her and Demetriou, Maura said: "It doesn't bother me. We're in 2020 and a man and woman cannot just be friends...
"Pure s**t you know," she added while zooming the camera on her face to prove her annoyace.
In April Alexander took to his social media page to tell fans he and wife Carlotta, who also stars on the ITV skating show, had split up.
The announcement came after weeks of rumours about him and former grid girl Maura.
In a statement Alexander said: "I'm sorry I have been quiet on social media recently but it's been a tough time for me personally.
'Carlotta and I have separated. Although it saddens me that we can no longer be together, I feel this is best for both of us.
'I'm looking forward to what the future will bring but in the meantime let's all say home and stay safe."
