Maura Higgins reunites with Love Island Cast for huge feast during lockdown
Updated: Jun 16
Maura Higgins took a break from isolating at home to reunite with her Love Island co-stars for a feast at Essex restaurant Sheesh Chigwell. Thanks to lockdown restrictions easing slightly, Maura and some of the boys from the ITV2 dating show’s 2019 series stopped by the hotspot for a lil reunion over an al fresco dinner.
The Irish reality star joined Christopher Taylor, Michael Griffiths, Jordan Hames and Danny Williams, as they were served a table full of food while seated outside.
And clearly excited to be back in the company of his pals and out for dinner, after weeks in lockdown, Michael shared a video of the gang all together in Sheesh’s restaurant garden tucking in.
Still looking glam while dressed down for her lunch with the boys, Maura kept it casual in fresh white trainers, black leggings and a cropped jumper that showed off her abs. Maura was later seen getting into Chris’ car with him as they left the restaurant.
She is currently living in Essex and had joined the boys, after they’d all been out house hunting together. Michael, Jordan and Christopher all live together, but are now looking for a new place for Danny to join them. Jordan took to Instagram to update fans on the house hunt and said: ‘So me and the boys are house hunting today because we’ve got to leave the gaff for unforeseen circumstances. ‘But, we’ve signed man-like Danny on a free transfer.’
Their reunion with Maura comes as she is now single again, after splitting with ex-boyfriend Curtis Pritchard ahead of lockdown. The pair had got together while in the Love Island villa last summer and finished in fourth place on the show. They confirmed their split at the beginning of March, following Maura’s appearance on Dancing On Ice earlier this year, and she told fans in a statement that the duo’s romance just ‘wasn’t meant to be’.
